PRP

What is PRP?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), known as “Platelet Rich Plasma” in Turkish, is a blood component obtained by separating the blood taken from the patient with a special process. PRP is a plasma solution that contains 4-5 times more platelets than the normal platelet density in the blood. They contain substances that support cellular healing, such as platelets and growth factors.

What is PRP Treatment?

PRP treatment is the process of injecting platelet-rich plasma obtained from a sample of the patient’s blood back into the patient for a specific treatment purpose. This treatment helps regenerate damaged tissues by accelerating the body’s natural healing process. PRP therapy is used in many different areas, it is especially popular in the areas of skin rejuvenation and wound healing.

What is Skin Rejuvenation with PRP?

PRP therapy can be used to rejuvenate the skin. The growth factors contained in platelets can increase skin elasticity, revitalize the skin and reduce signs of aging. It can also help correct skin imperfections such as acne scars and heal scars.

How is PRP Applied?

PRP treatment includes these steps:

  • A local anesthetic cream is applied to the area to be treated.
  • A blood sample is taken from the patient.
  • The blood sample is processed using a centrifuge device and platelet-rich plasma is separated.
  • The obtained PRP is injected into the area to be treated using thin needles or syringes.
  • After the treatment, skin care is performed and special creams are used when necessary.
  • The treatment period takes about 10 minutes and is usually painless. Special creams can be used to prevent bruising after the procedure.
