Laser Lipolysis

What is Laser Lipolysis?

Laser lipolysis is a method that uses laser energy to break down fat cells. During this process, while fat cells are broken down, the surrounding capillaries are also coagulated. This ensures less bleeding and a greater chance of a quick recovery. It also contributes to skin tightening by stimulating collagen in the surrounding tissue during laser lipolysis.

This tightening and shaping process achieved by laser lipolysis makes regional fat reduction procedures more effective. Broken fat is generally removed from the body by methods such as liposuction.

Especially when working on large areas (such as the abdomen or back), it can be combined with additional methods such as liposuction to prevent the broken down fat from remaining in the body, which is called “Laser Liposuction”.

Advantages of Laser Lipolysis

The risk of bleeding is less because small capillaries are coagulated during the procedure.

  • It is an ideal option for people who have had liposuction surgery before.
  • It has a firming effect and is especially preferred in areas at risk of sagging (for example, under the chin or abdomen).
  • Laser lipolysis promotes collagen formation.
  • The recovery process is rapid and a return to normal life can be achieved early.

How Does the Healing Process Progress?

Most patients can return to work within 24 hours. There is usually very little pain after the operation, but any pain can be controlled with simple painkillers. Bruises almost never occur. Edema may occur after laser liposuction, but this edema usually disappears on its own within 7-15 days. It is recommended to use a corset for 3 weeks after the operation. It usually starts to appear from the 3rd month when the body shape begins to form, and it may take up to 6-8 months for it to take its final shape.
